Patchogue Village was recently named an OpenBlue Pioneer as a result of the energy efficiency project that the village accomplished with the help of Johnson Controls. The village of Patchogue is going green. Now other local municipalities who are anxious to show that they care about their people and the environment are taking note of this Long Island role model. Partnering with Johnson Controls, village officials have developed a clear roadmap to achieving their net zero and renewable energy goals. With multiple energy-efficient upgrades to HVAC, lighting, and temperature control systems, they are well on their way to reaching these sustainability goals. Not to mention, these upgrades are designed to save Patchogue more than $8 million in the next 25 years – all while improving the quality of life for the community and visitors alike.
