The Village Justice
Court accepts credit cards for payments of all fees and fines
due to the court.
The
Village Justice conducts sentencing hearings after convictions or
pleas of guilty, then decides on a penalty that can range from
unconditional discharge to a $1,000 fine and 15 days in the County
Jail. The Village
Justice and the Village Court Office are different entities. The
Justice works for the people in the interest of Justice. The
Judges decide cases and controversies that come before them. The
court clerks work for the Mayor and the Village.
